To prepare the dishes required for the Spring Taste Test, you must collect special event items alongside standard kitchen ingredients. You will need to locate Wild Spring Eggs scattered across the biomes, forage Egg-cellent Fruit from bushes, and grow Spring V-EGG-etables using crafted seeds.
Crafting V-EGG-etable Seeds requires combining a Wild Spring Egg, an Egg-cellent Fruit, and Dreamlight at a crafting station. In addition to these special items, make sure to gather cocoa beans, sugarcane, and fresh basil to complete your recipes.
Cooking the Spring Taste Test Recipes
The quest requires you to cook three specific event recipes at any cooking station. The first recipe is Spring Chocolate, which combines a Spring V-EGG-etable, cocoa bean, and sugarcane. Next, you must prepare the Spring Egg Bowl by cooking an Egg-cellent Fruit, Wild Spring Egg, Spring V-EGG-etable, sugarcane, and cocoa bean together.
Finally, cook the Spring Mimosa Eggs using an Egg-cellent Fruit, Wild Spring Egg, Spring V-EGG-etable, and basil. Double-check your ingredients before cooking to ensure you do not accidentally substitute items and make standard meals.
Consuming Meals to Finish the Quest
Cooking all three event recipes is only the first step toward completing the challenge. To officially clear the task in your Dreamlight Duty log, your character must consume all three prepared meals.
Gifting the items to villagers or storing them will not mark the task as complete. Once you eat the Spring Chocolate, Spring Egg Bowl, and Spring Mimosa Eggs, the quest marker will update automatically.
Claiming Your Spring Event Rewards
After eating all three special dishes, open your main menu and navigate to the Village section inside the Dreamlight tab. Select the completed Spring Taste Test duty to collect your seasonal prize.
